Story

the story behind Schrav.

Processes in the clothing industry are terrible. Textile production countries are litterly bursting out their foundations. Mass production and the battle for the lowest cost price result in pollution, (semi) child labour and mountains of waste. The increasing popularity of fast fashion and the crap it produces is only making things worse. It is obvious that things need the change, we show you how. Locally produced clothing, made from high-quality leftover fabrics. Easy

origin.

My background in the sneaker-scene, passion for sustainability and increasing disapprove of the clothing industry resulted in founding the brand Schrav in 2017.

Schrav stands for a combination of the things I care about the most: streetwear, sustainability and quality. With Schrav I want to show the world that it is possible to do things differently.

Schrav aims to be as sustainable as possible. the two most influential processes are the buying of fabrics and production. However, we think small processes like packaging and shipping add up to the sustainable character of the brand as well.

I want to show the world that it is possible to create a dope brand while embedding social and ecological impact.

only leftover fabrics.

Only leftover fabrics are being used for the production of Schrav. These so-called leftover fabrics are fabrics that factories or companies see as waste. Most of the times these fabrics end up as landfill or in the worst case are being burned.

The use of leftover fabrics means that every collection comes in limited quantities. This is due to the fact that a certain amount of meters of fabric is available. The materials that are being used for collections is always different and therefore collections will never be the same.

production.

All collections are being produced in a local sewing studio called StudioRyn The studio, located in Arnhem wants to bring back craftsmanship to the Netherlands. They achieve this by producing high-quality collections for various designers and brands.

The small-scale approach and close ties with StudioRyn make constant development of the brand possible. It also means Schrav is not forced to produce a high amount of quantities. We make what we want when we want it.
